The Booking Process

Once you're happy with your itinerary and quote and your trip is confirmed, we will send you a booking confirmation - an official ATOL invoice. As per our Terms and Conditions we will require either of the following.

a) If your date of departure is more than ten (10) weeks away a deposit of either £100 per person, or if we book your flight at the time of booking to secure the flight price, you must pay the full cost of this plus a £50 deposit. The remaining balance will be due ten (10) weeks before departure on your holiday.

b) If your date of departure is less than ten (10) weeks away, the full balance of the holiday will be required at the time of booking.

You have four ways of paying:
1) By cheque payable to Baltic Holidays
2) By bank transfer - details will be on the invoice
3) By debit card
4) By credit card - please note there is a 2% fee to pay when paying by credit card. (5% on American Express)

Upon receipt of your payment, we will purchase your tickets, unless your flight tickets were purchased at the time of actual booking, to secure the price.

We will prepare all documentation for your trip and endeavour to send everything out to you two weeks before your departure date.

Further details on the booking process, price and cancellation can be found in our Terms and Conditions. Please note the contract you enter into when booking a holiday with us will be in and concluded in English.

Financial Proctection

The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 require us to provide security for the monies that you pay for the package holidays booked from this brochure and for your repatriation in the event of our insolvency. We provide this security by way of a bond held by the Civil Aviation Authority under ATOL number 5532 and a bond held by ABTA

This means the air holidays in this brochure are ATOL protected. In the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not left stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking. For further information, visit the ATOL website at http://www.atol.org.uk .For accommodation only bookings, financial protection is administered by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA): our ABTA number is W5202.

Baltic Holidays are also members of AITO - the Association of Independent Tour Operators. To qualify as a member of this association tour operators have to be proven leaders in their field and importantly to offer 100% financial protection on all their travel arrangements. Visa and Passport Details

UK citizens need a valid passport, valid for at least 6 months after their return date to visit Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Russia.

For Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania a visa is not required for entry for UK citizens. Other foreign nationals are advised to contact their embassy for advice and latest information.

UK citizens need a visa to enter Russia. We can help with this process and provide the required letter of invitation tourists need when applying for their visa; however we can not be held responsible for the outcome of the visa application. Other foreign nationals are advised to contact their embassy for advice and latest information

We recommend clients visiting Russia allow an absolute minimum of 4 weeks to apply for this visa.

Insurance Details

Baltic Holidays do not sell insurance direct, however we strongly advise all clients purchase travel insurance.

This company Rock Insurance sell a number of short break and longer policies and do offer policies to those over 70 years old and right up to 90+.

Data Protection

Please note that Baltic Holidays do not send clients personal details to any third party for marketing purposes. Baltic Holidays do occasionally send clients personal details to our trusted suppliers when they are performing a direct service for that client, Baltic Holidays will try and seek approval from the client when this happens but sometimes this is not always possible. We hold clients details on our own database, to send out promotional e-mails and our brochure. If you do not wish to receive these please let us know. Clients have a right to ask us at any time what details we hold on them.

Disability and Special Requests

Please advice us at the time of booking of any mobility problems you may experience or special requests you may require. Baltic Holidays can not be held responsible for any dissatisfaction, if the client has failed to notify us of any special requirements until after booking has taken place, during or on return of your holiday, where normal terms and conditions regarding any resulting cancellation would apply.

Not all hotels featured on our website and in our 2007 brochure are appropriate for those with limited mobility and our travel consultants will be able to advise you. Please check the website carefully for the description of hotel facilities.

Checking In

The standard international practice is to let rooms from midday to midday. However times do vary. Check in times are usually between 2pm and 3pm, check-out times between 11am and 12noon on day of departure. Therefore, if you check-in immediately after a night flight this would normally count as one night's accommodation. Similarly if your return flight is at night you will normally be required to vacate your room at 12 noon prior to leaving for the airport. Day rooms are subject to availability/cost and should be arranged locally with the accommodation management.

Delays

We regret that we are not in a position to offer you any assistance in the event of a delay at your outward or homebound point of departure. The provision of meals, beverages and overnight accommodation is entirely at the discretion of the airline carrier.

Health Matters

We highly recommend that those with specific health concerns or problems check with their General Practitioner who can give the all clear to travel. Please be advised that tick's can be found in the Baltic Region, a small percentage of these carry the encephalitis virus. Those staying in rural areas should seek the appropriate advice.

The Foreign Office

Please be advised the Foreign & Commonwealth office produces up-to-date travel information to help British Travellers make informed decisions when travelling abroad, please visit their website www.fco.gov.uk/knowbeforeyougo for the latest advice.
