Estonians are relaxed and calm, they love nature and fiercely protect their traditions. Maybe conversely Estonia is one of the most technically advanced nations in Europe - for such a small country they have made many technical contributions to the European community.
Visit Tallinn on your Estonia Holiday.
Estonian's capital is Tallinn, a charming medieval city where pastel coloured buildings nestle by its medieval walls, there is plenty to do and see in this fairytale city.

You can book a city break all year round. A great time to visit is in December when the city looks very pretty and holds a lovely Christmas Market. Here you can really enter the festive spirit by enjoying mulled wine and buying some lovely Christmas gifts such as wooden toys and linen ware.
Beaches in Estonia
There's Parnu a lovely quaint beach town known as Estonia's summer capital, with clapperboard houses and gorgeous sandy beaches this is the ideal place to enjoy a wonderful beach holiday.
Estonia's second city Tartu is its intellectual home, its well respected university is based here. Tartu is well known for its beautiful buildings and its vibrant nightlife thanks to its large student population! Lake Pepsi is nearby - the fourth largest lake in Europe - straddling the border between Estonia and Russia, there are 29 Islands, 5 of whish are populated. You can take boat trips to these islands from Tartu.
Beautiful Surroundings on your holiday in Estonia
Estonia's countryside is wonderful, with its forests, cottages, lakes, and fields full of flowers you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings, swim in a lake or two, go berry or mushroom picking, and read that book you have been planning to! Staying in the countryside is for those who love getting back to basic's and are content with some wonderful scenery and the sound of summer all around them.
Estonia has more than a thousand wild islands, Muhu and Saaremaa are two larger ones and offer the perfect destination for a secluded retreat, with lovely countryside and some wonderful spa's, they are perfect for getting away from it all. Muhu is home to 23 rare orchids and to many migrating birds that take temporarily shelter in its different bays.

We have been back for a week but in reality are still in Estonia!! Everything went according to plan, hotels, transfers etc and Estonia is a fantastic destination- we are already planning a return trip.
So the answer to your question re holiday satisfaction is definatly excellent! Just wanted to say thanks for all your help in planning this trip! Mark Stoker June 2008
Back sound and safely from our idyllic holiday in Estonia and which you kindly arranged. All the accommodation and travel arrangements you made worked well. The weather was just right too!
Our accommodation in the self catering cottage was brilliant and we highly recommend it. The sheets and towels were washed regularly, the owners polite and helpful. The accommodation was clean (although there were no curtains and had to make do with blankets at the windows) and it was like staying in an agricultural museum, with splendid old farming implements outside. The double bedroom also had a lovely balcony overlooking fields with glimpses of the sea. There was basket ball, boules plus a lovely nature walk nearby. Bikes could be hired (which we did) and guests could pay to use a sauna. For those that like a quiet retreat, we can recommend this place without reservation.
Also on one of our trips into Kuressaare we noticed a policeman casually wander by. Some 30 minutes later the Estonian President arrived with family to plant a tree at a ceremony. We were incredibly close to him and apart from this one policeman, no high tech security like in the UK!
Thanks again so much for arranging what turned out to be a fantastic holiday – and next year we could be tempted by Latvia or Lithuania so may well be in touch! The Sommerville family August 2007 He did book again by the way.
