This Russian Capitals Tour visits St Petersburg and Moscow, the two main cities of Russia, and what amazing and contrasting cities they are!

St Petersburg is the beautiful imperial heart of Russia is a stunningly exquisite city.Magnificent palaces reside in every street, impressive commanding boulevards intersect the city as do the littles canals and bridges.

Moscow is the dynamic pulsating polictical and financial heart of Russia and it's capital city. Following the Russian Revolution in the early twentieth century Lenin took the capital status away from St Petersburg and gave it back, once again, to Moscow. Moscow became the powerhouse of the Soviet regime, revered, and feared, all over the world.

Today Moscow is a city of contrasts prepare for a stunning mixture of the bold, beautiful and at times, the not so beautiful. A city proud of it's power status it does not like to disappoint, boosting more billionaire residents than New York. Women dress up to the nines for breakfast and men broker power deals over coffee, all the while black sleek limousines purr up and down the city streets.

DAY 1
Arrival in St. Petersburg, you can add an optional transfer to your four star hotel, check-in and enjoy a welcome meeting. Overnight: St Petersburg 4* Hotel

DAY 2
St Petersburg is the beautiful imperial heart of Russia built to a grand design by Tsar Peter the Great, and was the Russian capital from 1712 to 1918. During your morning sightseeing tour you will visit many splendours of the city: the Peter-Paul Fortress, the Winter Palace, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Church of the Bleeding Savior, the Nevsky Convent and much more. In the afternoon you can add an optional trip to Peterhof, an uncontested masterpiece of the time of Peter the Great, with the impressive Grand Palace, Grand Cascade and its beautiful parks. In the evening you can add an optional visit to the Nikolaevsky Palace with an exciting Russian folklore show and Russian "champagne" and snacks. Overnight: 4* Hotel - St Petersburg

DAY 3
Today is free for exploring St Petersburg or you can add one or both of the following excursions. We really recommend adding on this morning optional trip to Zarskoye Selo with the impressive Catherine's Palace and the Amber Room, which vanished during World War II, this stunning palace is well worth a visit. In the afternoon, we also recommend adding the optional visit to the world-famous Hermitage Art Museum. This huge museum holds many famous works of art, it is important to go with a guide otherwise you can easily miss the important parts. In the evening you can add an optional Russian dinner at Restaurant Rusian Kitsch. Overnight: 4* Hotel - St Petersburg

DAY 4
In the early morning you can add an optional guided shopping tour to the Nevsky Prospect. Around lunchtime you will board your train bound for Moscow, the dynamic capital of Russia. You will arrive in the evening and check into your four start hotel. Overnight: 4* Hotel - Moscow

DAY 5
Moscow is the dynamic pulsating polictical and financial heart of Russia and it's capital city. Following the Russian Revolution in the early twentieth century Lenin took the capital status away from St Petersburg and gave it back, once again, to Moscow, moving the Communist headquarters also. Lenin's aim was to take away the focus on the tsar built imperial city and place it firmly back on Moscow. Moscow became the powerhouse of the Soviet regime, revered, and feared, all over the world. Today Moscow is a city of contrasts prepare for a stunning mixture of the bold, beautiful and at times, the not so beautiful. A city proud of it's power status it does not like to disappoint, boosting more billionaire residents than New York, the city has fully embraced the retail concept. Women dress up to the nines for breakfast and men broker power deals over coffee, all the while black sleek limousines purr up and down the city streets. In the morning you will enjoy a sightseeing tour which includes many of the city's highlights, including Red Square, Theatre Square and a visit to the famous Moscow Metro. In the afternoon you can add an optional trip to the Kremlin grounds (you will see the outside of the Kremlin during your morning tour) and in the evening you can add an optional cruise trip on the Moscow River. DAY 6
Today you can either explore Moscow at your leisure or you can add an optional trip to Novodevichy Convent, a 16th century series of beautiful buildings, full of treasures. The adjacent Novodevichy Cemetery, after the Kremlin, is Moscow's most prestigious resting place. In the evening you can add an optional visit to the Old Russian Circus. Overnight: 4* Hotel - Moscow

DAY 7
After breakfast it is the end of your Russian Capitals Tour. You can add an optional transfer to the airport to meet your flight home. Please notes flights are not included in this package.
