DAY 2: Sibiu
Today we will complete our visit to Sibiu (cultural capital of Europe in 2007) by visiting the biggest and best-preserved village museum on the outskirts of Sibiu. We will visit the basilica of Michelsberg, where we will try typical Saxon cuisine. The afternoon is free time for shopping or exploring. Evening dinner is a unique experience; dinner with a local Romanian family, with local wine and tuica (the famous plum brandy).

After breakfast we begin our journey to Maramures via Cluj – Napoca, the city of culture and science. We will get lunch on the way. The Fortress of Cluj built in the 18th century is the oldest monument of Baroque secular architecture in Transylvania. The Unirii Square is dominated by Saint Mihail Cathedral, the most representative monument of Gothic architecture in Cluj. You’ll notice the statue of Avram Iancu, the leader of the Romanian Revolution of Transylvania from 1948. In the evening we arrive to Bella Doina Pension, a piece of heaven in this area where we will enjoy a pleasant evening of dinner and accommodation.

Dinner and accommodation again at Doina’s.

DAY 5: Maramures - Bucovina
After breakfast we depart for another interesting region, Bucovina. The drive will take us all day, but we will see and visit many sights along the way.
