Family Holidays in the Baltics

The Baltics are a wonderful choice for a family holiday. It can be quite a challenge trying to keep everyone happy on holiday especially if you have children of different ages. When you start adding up the costs involved, even the healthiest of budgets can start to look a little stretched!

Family Holidays with Baltic holidays: Some Suggestions.

Feb 2010 Half Term Skiing Holidays.

Curonian Spit Lithuania Self catering : ideal for family Holiday. We have many places similar to this.

In the Baltics it is possible for a whole family of four to have a 3 course meal, with drinks and still have change from a £20 note, ice creams cost about 20p and a pint of beer (for Mum and Dad of course!) costs around £1.

To help matters even more Baltic Holidays never charge a school holiday supplement.

So less pressure on the old wallet means more possibilities for a varied and interesting holiday.

A great option is a family fly drive holiday
The roads are remarkable quiet in the Baltics and it's easy to get about, or we can organise private drivers for you. You can spend a week in the countryside and then a week at a beach. We have some wonderful hotels, cottages, cabins, and guesthouses that cater for families.

Family Activities
We can organise many activities, including canoeing and cycling to make your stay even more exciting and please have a look at our beach holidays information page to find out more about the wonderful beaches the Baltics have to offer.

In the Countryside
In the countryside there are many opportunities for some great family activities. You can go swimming in the lakes, enjoy nature trails in the forests, experience small villages and eat in local restaurants for about £2 a head, visit castles and palaces and relax and enjoy the quiet beautiful nature that the Baltics have to offer.

Our Experience....

We take our three young children every year on a family holiday to the Baltics, and stay in various locations, so we really know the reality of travelling with little ones and can advise you on the best hotels to stay in.

Our two absolutely love the beaches, long lovely stretches of beautiful sand, with shallow bays making paddling safe and jumping in the wave's great fun. Inexpensive meals and cheap entry to amusements and museums mean, you can really push the boat out and have a great time.

Now to search for your perfect hotel to stay in with your family please use the search box 'Browse by Holiday Type' in the top right hand column of the page, here please narrow your search to the country of your choice (or you can search all three countries) and a list of wonderful hotels, which we think are particularly suited to staying at with children, will be displayed. You can then click on the hotels for more details and to book.

"We had a fantastic time in Lithuania - loved Kaunas and the guest house. So friendly and the girls loved the garden. The trip to the openair museum was fascinating. We were really pleased that we went on a guided trip with Linas as he was able to give us so much information - in particular meeting the lady there who was a survivor from Siberia was such a privilege and having Linas there to translate was great." "We are on our way home and wanted to thank you for a wonderful trip to Estonia.
The accomodations were perfect, especially the Amende Villa which was very welcoming and charming. We ate dinner in their restaurant both nights and while a bit long for the kids was a real treat.Ivo was knowledgeable, curteous and very accomodating, even stopping at grocery stores for us on two occasions. The itinerary really suited us and we were glad to have combined the Tartu and Parnu drives in one day as it gave us a little down time in Tallinn which allowed us to go for a swim in the hotel pool. Thank you for all your help." Mrs M Pashigan. July 2009

"Wow. What an absolutely wonderful surprise Poland turned out to be! As you know, our son chose this destination. Why? Who knows. But at this point who cares. It was truly a wonderful holiday and fabulous destination.
Everything you planned was perfect. We were met, accommodated and shown around everywhere. Both guides were excellent, but Michael in Cracow was probably the best.
We appreciated the free time to explore as much as the guiding.
Marcin, is a little gem. A really nice chap. Friendly, informative, relaxed, efficient and very safe (on the roads)
It is a hard thing to say what we liked best. Cracow was probably our favourite destination. The boys loved being able to run about, the ice creams, sausages & snow. I loved the architecture & history & Rob enjoyed everything.
We felt Poland a very livable country, and the Polish people pleasant.
Thanks very much to you & your teams planning. We highly recommend Poland to anyone.
Cheers" Mrs J Parker.April 2009
