Overview of our Moscow & St Petersburg Private Tour (Train)

Our Private Tour of Moscow and St Petersburg allows you the flexibility and time to really explore the two main cities of Russia. There is much to discover in these contrasting cities.

First, you spend 3 nights in Moscow, the dynamic pulsating political and financial heart of Russia and its capital city. Following the Russian Revolution in the early twentieth century Lenin took the capital status away from St Petersburg and gave it back, once again to Moscow. Moscow became the powerhouse of the Soviet regime, revered and feared all over the world.

Today, Moscow is a city of contrasts. Prepare for a stunning mixture of the bold, beautiful and at times, the not so beautiful. A city proud of its power status it does not like to disappoint, boasting more billionaire residents than New York. Women "dress up to the nines" for breakfast and men broker power deals over coffee, all the while black sleek limousines purr up and down the city streets.

Then onto 4 nights in St Petersburg, travelling by comfortable high-speed train through the Russian countyside. The beautiful imperial heart of Russia is a stunningly exquisite city. Magnificent palaces reside in every street, impressive commanding boulevards intersect the city as do the little canals and bridges, giving it the name 'Venice of the North'. A completely different 'Russia' to Moscow.
