We had a wonderful holiday and we felt so amazingly welcome. As you know, with the impact of the current war in Ukraine, the country is under great financial pressure and tourist industry is suffering. Everywhere we went we were thanked for supporting Poland by not cancelling our travel. We’ve got to say the whole sordid business had little impact on our holiday. We felt very safe, and it was heartwarming to see firsthand how the Polish nation has risen to the challenge and helped the Ukrainians. As we’ve said we had a fantastic time and really enjoyed all that we saw. Things we’d change are few which show how good the itinerary was that you and the team had organised for us. Absolutely loved the extra trips that you had suggested. It’s a given that we’d be happy to recommend your company to anyone (and have done so on numerous occasions already).

The dog sledding in the dark was an amazing experience and one we won't soon forget! Very cold and very dark but that did not stop us from having a fantastic time. We learned about dog sledding in general and we had just as much fun interacting with the dogs as we did chatting amiably with the members of the family in their home afterward.It felt very personal/intimate, exactly what we were looking for. The Arctic Bath is one of the most dazzling locations/accommodations that we have ever experienced. The service was assertive without being pushy, they were always there to help when we needed someone but otherwise, it was a very intimate and tranquil stay. The bath itself was amazing, and we will never forget the evening plunge into icy waters. Just amazing. The sauna was something the whole family enjoyed. The food was as dazzling as our lodgings, the Christmas dinner was the highlight with every course thoughtfully prepared and presented. ArcticBath is one of the most romantic spots we have ever been but it was still a fantastic spot for our 5 person family. Our snowshoeing experience was not just a fun trip through the breathtaking landscape but a fascinating lesson in Sweden culture, its floraand fauna, and survival skills. Our guide was very informative and tailored the trip so our kids could keep up and stay engaged. Both the hovercraft ride and the snowmobile trekking were fun and thrilling for all members of our family, racing across the frozen Baltic Sea and through the dazzling snow-covered landscape. As stunning as it was in winter, it is a place we would love to come back to during the summer. Thank you again for organizing a once-in-a-lifetime holiday for our family! THE BEST CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE IN POLAND

We’ve just returned from the best Christmas holiday experience in Poland…. All organised by Sally and team from Baltic Holidays… Where do I begin???? The whole trip was organised by Sally… flights, transport, hotels, food, restaurants, trips and lots lots more. It was Christmas Wonderland. Our rooms were amazing and well equipped, warm and comfortable. The hotel is next to the entrance to the forest/mountains… so lovely snowy walks and sledging.We walked into Zakopane, skied, sledged and so so much more.I can’t explain in words how grateful I am for this amazing holiday that Sally organised for Fred, Freya,Gaia and myself.I am still quite emotional about how amazing the experience was, especially when the pandemic seemed to be against us travelling.Regarding covid… we felt safe and at no risk… and we have returned home to receive negative PCR tests.All I can say is definitely give Baltic Holidays a call and book a holiday asap…. You deserve it!!!!

The trip to Moldova was unique and truly great in every sense, an unforgettable experience! We had a fantastic time and enjoyed every minute. The two guides, were not only exceptionally nice and forthcoming, they went an extra mile to give us the best possible experience. We would give them 5 out 5 stars! Accommodation and restaurants were excellent. The two highlights for us were the sturgeon farm in Transnistria and the wine tasting in Chisinau. We also ordered some wine now through the guide, who will send everything in the coming days. Thanks for your quick response and for organizing this trip. The hotels were good and especially well located in Riga and Jurmala, but the manor house was something special. I don't think we had ever before stayed anywhere so peaceful. Our driver, Martinas, played a very significant part in our holiday. He was professional, flexible, friendly and knowledgeable. We both learned a great deal from his fascinating stories about his and his family's experiences and about life in Latvia today. We came to regard him as a friend and we were sorry to say goodbye to him. Aldis, who was with us for one day was also very kind and helpful. So, 'Well done!' Baltic Holidays. Our trip went very well. Everything was a highlight but I think the best part were the guides. They were so knowledgeable, friendly, willing to answer all our questions. All of them were passionate about their country and very knowledgeable about what we were seeing. Through them we felt we got to know the country, the history, the people and them too. I think you did a very good job of setting this up, directing us to interesting and varied places: a hike through the bog, castles and palaces, cute towns, etc. The hotels were great. Dear Phil & Jurga, Well that’s another successful trip (our third so far) with Baltic Holidays, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s one to Russia. We thoroughly enjoyed our 12-day tour around Romania, seeing the diverse range of architecture and scenery and meeting so many friendly people. Definitely the way to gain a true understanding of the country and its’ culture. Our guide throughout (Stefan) was first class, professional and friendly (even managing to squeeze in a couple of extra castles for us to visit, once he recognised our interests).Our last few days, in Budapest, were a great way to unwind after 12 days “on the road”. The hotel location on Buda Hill, with a Danube river view room looking over to the Parliament building was ideal. So once again, many thanks to you and the team for another enjoyable holiday.

HOW IMPRESSED WE WERE WITH THE ORGANISATION OF OUR TRIP

We had a fantastic holiday and everything went very smoothly. We were also lucky enough, albeit through a vehicle fault, to meet up with Jurga. Her husband was our guide on the day out in Riga but unfortunately the car developed a problem. Jurga came out with another vehicle. It was great to meet her having had so many e-mail conversations. It was good to be able to say how impressed we were with the organisation of our trip. It was really well put together and all of the guides were very good and knowledgeable. Bearing in mind the length of time we spent with them we had no hitches. We learnt a lot from the trip and enjoyed hearing the guides' stories.

It was a great idea that we go to St. Petersburg via Helsinki (a very cool city!)...the ferry and high-speed train were efficient and quite comfortable. The choice of hotels suited us perfectly...thanks for placing us so centrally in each city. The hotel in Tallinn was the most luxurious, but even at the more modest places in Vilnius and Riga, the location and the warm and helpful hotel staff made our stays delightful. And the manor house was remarkable. Every one of our drivers and guides exceeded our expectations. The walking tours were informative, meaningful, and great fun.

Hi Phil and Jurga, We want to thank-you and all the guides, drivers etc. for organising such an amazing and unforgettable trip for us. We had a brilliant time and came home with a completely different and very positive perspective of the Baltic States and Finland. We found every city we visited absolutely fascinating and simply could not pick a favourite. It is hard to pick a highlight, but one of them would have to be the local guides and the drivers who took us for our day outings and did the transfers. Without exception, they were first class. Their passion for their country and willingness to talk about their lives and experiences and, as an example, the impact the Soviet occupation had on them and their families, really brought each country to life and helped us understand a little of what it must have been like then. We were also so impressed with all the paperwork and vouchers we received and know a lot of organisation went on behind the scenes. It all went like clockwork and we were nothing but impressed by your efficiency. Thanks again for a super holiday. We would like to visit St Petersburg and Russia at some point in the future and would have no hesitation in using you again to organise the trip.

They put together an amazing, personalized 1 month tour of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. They drove me to the capitals of each and also to 3 of their incredible beach resorts on the Baltic Sea. There were a lot of moving parts on this tour and it ran like clockwork and any minor hiccup was remedied immediately. I have traveled the world and they are without doubt the finest tour company I have ever encountered and I will be using them soon for a tour of Russia and Ukraine. In Minsk our guide Helen was spectacular. She was very informative and accommodated changes as we went along. It was a real treat to visit her parents and their dacha. Our guide in Palanga was Vytaute and she was probably the best guide we have had in the world. She was lively, extremely informative, made changes and recommended changes as we went along. We had dinner at her parents restaurant. This was a real treat and we enjoyed the experience as well as meeting and dining with her parents. This is what we really like. We like restaurants with no tourists. The hotel choices were outstanding and all of our guides were superb. The guides were knowledgable, informative and accommodating. They wanted to make sure we had a good experience and learned about their country/city. Not many recommendations for improvement. This is the sign of an excellent well prepared tour operator. You were able to provide us with a memorable trip.

ESTONIA WAS FANTASTIC, SO MANY THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR STAFF

Estonia was fantastic, so many thanks to you and your staff (particularly Jurga) for arranging everything for us. Many highlights but in particular the cookery class at Mer Mer was unique (our guide Ivo took the recipes for the salmon and duck dishes we made - appreciate if you could ask him to forward on please?); the hotels were very very good, dinner at the Tchaikovsky was an unforgettable experience and the bog walking and canoeing in Soomaa was great fun. The dawn and evening safaris they run there to watch the beavers looked really good, albeit April would be a cold month to do that in. Tallinn was also a lovely city to spend a couple of days and nice to see it prior to tourist season. All the guides were excellent too. Our 7 yr old daughter had a fab time too!

The guides we had were exceptional! Kertu - told us so much about living in Communist times and brought the whole city to life. Inga, in Riga, really knows about architecture as she is working on her PH.D in that field. Thank you or someone for Ieva! We had a great time talking about nature, schools, etc. So, in all, everyone one was well or over-qualified to talk with us about cities, countries, communism, cooking and other stuff! Oh, I forgot Vickie, who took us to the Curonian Spit. What a fun, upbeat person! She brought a picnic lunch for us so we could sit and enjoy it on the hilltop above Nida, where the German writer's home is located.

Thecottage in Palanga was perfect-we had a chance to really relax, cook together and catch up with sleep. Palanga was great to see by bicycle. The manor house in Latvia was stunning and the hosts were a beautiful, kind couple. Finally in Kaunas it was like staying at a relatives house. My husband and I worked with the exceptional staff at Baltic Holidays to plan two remarkable tailor-made vacations: One to Russia, Finland and Estonia, the other to Eastern Europe visiting Bucharest, Budapest and Prague. The accommodations were perfect and located in convenient places in the cities we visited. The guides we had for day trips both in and out of the cities were knowledgeable, smart and each and everyone went out of their way to make our visit wonderful. Just wanted to say that the recent Moldova trip was an excellent introduction to a fascinating, beautiful country with a complex history but the most friendly, hospitable people and culture. The traditional food was great and the wines amongst the best I have ever tasted. Transnistria was like going back in time and the Victory Day Parade was surreal but highly entertaining and poignant at the same time, especially the Immortals parade. I had a really good time. My tour of Chisinau was led by Christina and Vladimir and they did a great job. The wineries and the monasteries fun. And, of course, Transnistra was the most unusual. I have been to both the Soviet Union and Russia, and this was really a step back in time.

The organisation of our trip was very professional and ran like clockwork. It was great to have everything organised and to not worry about driving or finding places of interest. We met some lovely tour guides especially Vicky in Palanga who was a fantastic host and felt more like a friend than a guide. We were pleasantly impressed by the standards of Eastern Europe and enjoyed the food and reasonable prices too. We would definitely recommend the baltics to our friends. WE WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND VISITING MOLDOVA

It is indeed now sometime since we arrived back from our holiday in Moldova but we still have very fond memories of the trip. My wife was especially touched by Vladimir's young daughter presenting her with a picture which she had painted as a birthday gift. The hotel in Chisinau was excellent and lived up to its 5 star rating. Chisinau has many interesting places to see and we enjoyed going around the city by the local trams and buses. Other highlights were the visit to the Milesti Mici wine cellars and the fascinating trip to Transnistra. All the arrangements worked well and we would certainly recommend visiting Moldova to people who would like to gosomewhere different and interesting and to use Baltic Holidays to do so.

We had the most wonderful holiday. It was brilliantly organised for us from start to finish. What can I say - we loved everything! It is not easy to meet the needs of 6 people ages 14 and up, but our holiday did just that. All the accommodation was wonderful... The trips were fantastic. I was a little unsure what we would get from a walking tour in Vilnius as I hadseen some of the main sights on my last visit, but it was great! The rest of our daytrips, including visits to Trakai, Hill of Crosses, and the Curonian Spit were with Linas, our lovely guide. We were so well looked after. He did everything possible give us a good experience of the country, especially when we took a day trip to the region where our family used to live, helping us to explore our connections to the area. The only problem with the trip is that it has left us so desperately wanting to return to Lithuania again - there is still so much to see and explore! It may take a little while to get back there but we will certainly be booking through Baltic Holidays again when we do. LOVED GETTING OUT AND EXPLORING THE COUNTRYSIDE

The hotels in Budapest and Prague were excellent.We were upgraded at the Continental Hotel Budapest. The drivers who picked us up and delivered us to our hotels or to the airport were on time and excellent. THE ORGANISATION WAS OUTSTANDING

We want to say how much we enjoyed the whole trip. The organisation was outstanding and everything went just as was planned. Of course being our first visit, everything we saw was a completely new experience so we have many happy memories to look back on, with each capital city quite different to the other two, as we found when going to Riga from Vilnius and then to Tallinn. Tartu was a charming little town too and we were glad we included a cross-country trip. The hotels were excellent and overall there is nothing at all we could suggest needed improvement. We are so glad and grateful that we were finally able to make the trip after the disappointment in April.
