Our tour is designed for you to see and experience the main sights in Georgia, while soaking up local life along the way.

DAY 1: Welcome to Georgia

Arrival in Tbilisi airport and our driver will meet you in the arrivals hall and drive you to your hotel. Depending on your flight times, will determine the timings of your tours from here on, we will discuss the options with you.

 

DAY 2: Tbilisi

Tbilisi Private Guided Tour

After breakfast our guide will meet you at the hotel and today you will discover Tbilisi! The tour will be a walking tour, exploring the narrow streets of Old Tbilisi and will include sights such as the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi (Sameba), Metekhi church, and from Rike Park you will take a cable car and go up to the Narikala Fortress – the major ancient fortification of the city built in the 4th century. From here, enjoy panoramic views over Tbilisi. From Narikala we walk down through the historical districts of Tbilisi, visiting Legvtakhevi (“Fig Ravine) canyon and waterfall, walk through the Sulfur bathhouse district and Shardeni street and continue to the Maidan square. These areas are full of outdoor cafes, bars, art galleries and souvenir stores. From Maidan we can walk to the modern glass Bridge of Peace.

 

DAY 3: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Ananuri – Kazbegi

After breakfast at the hotel our guide and driver will pick you up and you will drive to Mtskheta – the old capital of Georgia. Mtskheta is well-known for two historical monuments; Jvari monastery and Svetitskhoveli cathedral, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

From Mtskheta it is on to the Khevi region, visiting Zhinvali reservoir and the Ananuri Architectural Complex built in the 16-17th cc. In the evening we arrive to Kazbegi and our unique and unforgettable 4 star hotel.


DAY 4: Kazbegi – Gergeti – Gveleti – Dariali – Kazbegi

After breakfast at the hotel, you will start a day of exploring the Caucasus mountains, a land of snowy mountain peaks and tumbling waterfalls.  From Kazbegi we will drive up Mount Gergeti and visit the iconic Holy Trinity Church built in the 14th century. The views are astounding.

From Gergeti we continue on our tour around Khevi region, visiting the Dariali gorge; an important crossing point of the Geater Caucasus mountains. In Dariali we a walk along the Terek river and visit Gveleti waterfalls. Afterwards, head back to Kazbegi and have lunch with a local family.
 

DAY 5: Kazbegi – Chardakhi – Tbilisi

After breakfast at the hotel we drive back to Tbilisi. On our way we will visit Iago Wine. Iago is a winery owner and winemaker from Chardakhi in Kartli region. He is passionate about producing Georgian traditional quality wines using qvevri (clay vessels buried underground). The winery produces wines following thousand years’ old method of fermenting wines in large clay vessels called “Qvevri” and some of the vessels are 300 years old. During your visit you’ll have wine-tasting, visit the wine-cellar, learn about the process of wine-making in Georgia and finally have a delicious local lunch.


DAY 6: Tbilisi – Gori – Uplistsikhe – Kutaisi

After breakfast, we drive to Gori, a small city in Kartli region. In Gori we will visit the museum of Joseph Stalin as the town is the birthplace of the Soviet leader. After Gori we visit the ancient cave complex of Uplistsikhe (15 km from Gori). Uplistsikhe complex is carved in rock and dates back to the 1st millennium BC, it is considered to be the earliest human settlement in Georgia.

From Kartli we continue to Kutaisi, Georgia's second largest city. We will make several stops along the way, including a pottery and local farmers’ market that sells various food, fruit, vegetables and handmade goods. Have lunch at a local restaurant and then visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bagrati cathedral, built in the 11th c. and located in central part of the city on the top of the hill.


DAY 7: Kutaisi Tour – Imereti Caves – Tbilisi

After breakfast travel to Prometheus caves that is known for various types of stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, petrified waterfalls, cave pearls, underground rivers, and lakes. Then it is back to Tbilisi and enjoy some free time for shopping, museums, galleries or visiting the flea market on the Dry Bridge. 


DAY 8: Tbilisi

Our driver will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the airport for your flight home. End of the tour.
