DAY 1 - OSLO

Arrive in Oslo according to your own itinerary. We can arrange a transfer from the airport, port or train station to your hotel on request. Oslo is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord and surrounded by forested ridges. Oslo offers many well-known sights such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum, Kontiki Museum, Fram Museum, the Munch Museum or the Holmenkollen ski jump.

DAY 2 - OSLO TO BALESTRAND (by train & boat)

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure by train from Oslo to Myrdal, part of the Bergen Railway. The railway connects Norway’s two largest cities and shows the diversity of the Norwegian landscape and scenery. It is classed as one of the finest train journeys in the world. At Myrdal you will change to the Flåm Railway, passing through wild and beautiful mountain scenery with waterfalls and steep mountain sides from a height of up to 900 metres and down to the Sognefjord. After your relaxing train journey, from Flam you continue by boat on the Sognefjord, the world's longest and deepest fjord, to Balestrand.

DAY 3 - FJAERLAND & GLACIER EXCURSION

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will go on an excursion to Fjærland and the Glacier Museum. Travel on the Fjærlandsfjord and experience one of the most beautiful fjord arms in Norway. Along the fjord, the old hamlets and farms are reminders of the struggle for existence in past times. Local busses will transport you to the Glacier Museum where you will learn more about the glaciers and how the fjords were formed. From there you will continue to two different extensions of the Jostedal Glacier; Supphellebreen and Bøyabreen glaciers (not possible to walk on the glaciers). Return by ferry to Balestrand. Please note this is an organised group tour.

DAY 4 - BALESTRAND - SOGNEFJORD - BERGEN (by boat)

Breakfast at the hotel. Continue by boat on the Sognefjord and then along the coast in a southern direction to Bergen – the Gateway to the Fjords. Bergen is Norway’s second largest city and the world’s only city surrounded by 7 mountains and 7 fjords. We will arrange a transfer to take you to your hotel.

DAY 5 - BERGEN

Breakfast at the hotel. This day is at your own leisure in Bergen. Attractions in Bergen include the Hanseatic Bryggen Wharf, Fløibanen Funicular, Troldhaugen, the Fish and Flower market, Bergen Aquarium and Gamle Bergen (Old Bergen Open Air Museum).

DAY 6 - BERGEN - HARDANGERFJORD - ULVIK (by bus & boat)

Breakfast at the hotel before departing by bus. Just before reaching Norheimsund you will pass the Steindalsfossen Waterfall. From Norheimsund you will depart on a 3-hour cruise on the Hardangerfjord to Eidfjord. The Hardangerfjord is the second largest fjord in Norway, and famous for its fruit orchards which are beautiful in May when blossoming. In Eidfjord you will have 3 hours at leisure which can be spent relaxing by the fjord, exploring the village or you can go on an optional sightseeing tour to Hardangervidda Nature Centre and the spectacular Vøringsfossen Waterfall, Norway’s highest waterfall (tickets for the excursion available on board, not included in the price). The last part of today’s journey is a 30-minute cruise to the small village of Ulvik, located by the Hardangerfjord. We will arrange for you to be picked up and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 7 - ULVIK - VOSS - OSLO (by bus & train)

Breakfast at the hotel. This day is at leisure in Ulvik before departing by bus to Voss in the afternoon. During the bus ride you will pass through attractive farmland. TRAVEL COMPANIES LIKE YOURS ARE A REAL FIND.

Hi Phil and Jurga, We want to thank-you and all the guides, drivers etc. for organising such an amazing and unforgettable trip for us. We had a brilliant time and came home with a completely different and very positive perspective of the Baltic States and Finland. We found every city we visited absolutely fascinating and simply could not pick a favourite. It is hard to pick a highlight, but one of them would have to be the local guides and the drivers who took us for our day outings and did the transfers. Without exception, they were first class. Their passion for their country and willingness to talk about their lives and experiences and, as an example, the impact the Soviet occupation had on them and their families, really brought each country to life and helped us understand a little of what it must have been like then. We were also so impressed with all the paperwork and vouchers we received and know a lot of organisation went on behind the scenes. It all went like clockwork and we were nothing but impressed by your efficiency. Thanks again for a super holiday. We would like to visit St Petersburg and Russia at some point in the future and would have no hesitation in using you again to organise the trip.
