Day 1: Arrival to Kiruna in Swedish Lapland
Transfer From Kiruna Airport To Your Hotel
Our driver will meet you in the arrivals hall and drive you to your hotel (they will be holding a sign with your name on it). Welcome to Kiruna and Swedish Lapland!
Day 2: Camp Ripan at Kiruna
Free-time to explore the fascinating town of Kiruna or take part in one of the many activities on offer, or simply switch off and unwind in the hotel spa... In the evening you will go on our Northern Lights Hunt by Snowmobile.
Northern Lights Hunt By Snowmobile Group Tour
Join us on an exciting hunt for the Northern lights by snowmobile. From the Camp Ripan area we ride out into the polar night to get a glimpse of the mythical light phenomena. During our trip we will take a break out in the wilderness and enjoy a light snack from the Lapland kitchen. You even have the opportunity to drive your own snowmobile at an extra fee if you do not wish to take turns.
Day 3: Kiruna to Jukkasjarvi
Kiruna - Jukkasjarvi Private Transfer
Our driver will meet you at your hotel reception and drive you to Jukkasjarvi. Here you will stay in the iconic Icehotel. You can choose from staying in an Ice Room or a warm room, but we usually recommend one night in each. It is an absolutely unique experience, one that you will always remember and love to tell your friends about!
Day 4: Icehotel at Jukkasjarvi
Experience Dogsledding!
On this fun excursion, which is perfect for families, you will ride as a passenger in the sled. Experience the dogs’ tremendous desire to run and pull as you travel through the beautiful landscape of northern Lapland. As you sit back and enjoy the ride, the silence is broken only by the runners whooshing through the snow. The tour includes wilderness coffee and cake served by an open fire.
Day 5: Jukkasjarvi to Harads
Today you will travel through the Swedish Lapland scenery from Jukkasjarvi to Harads, from one awesome accommodation to another!
Jukkasjarvi - Kiruna Train Station Private Transfer
Our driver will meet you at the Icehotel reception and drive you to Kiruna train station.
Train from Kiruna to Murjek
Your train tickets for travel from Kiruna to Murjek will have been prepurchased and sent to you in advance.
Murjek Train Station - Harads Private Transfer
Our driver will meet you upon arrival at Murjek train station and drive you to your hotel in Harads. Accommodation at the outstanding Arctic Bath hotel.
Day 6: Arctic Bath in Harads
Today you spend the day at the wild and wonderful Arctic Bath. The restaurant and spa are exceptional and you can easily enjoy your time on site enjoying the facilities. But Arctic Bath is all about a close connection with nature, an immersion into the wilderness, and what better way than explore the local nature with a local guide...
Moose Safari (2.5 hrs)
A moose safari is good fun any time of year. In summer we go by car or six-wheel ATV and sidecar, in winter we go by snowmobile. Into the deep forests of Harads we head, in search of the King of beasts... if we're lucky we will also see other animals including fox, reindeers and forest birds. A great introduction to the nature of Lapland, and the chance to see the elegant and mighty moose in their natural habitat.
Day 7: Arctic Bath to Treehotel
Arctic Bath Hotel - Treehotel Private Transfer
Our driver will meet you at your hotel reception and drive you to the Treehotel - it is very close! Today you will probably pinch yourself, to check you are awake. From one surreal accommodation to another - welcome to the Treehotel at Harads! There are various awesome treehouses to choose from, we will help you choose the best one for you and yours. All of them offer the most spectacular surroundings in which to spend the night - it doesn't get much closer to nature than this.
Day 8: Treehotel at Harads
Sami Experience
This is a really authentic Lapland experience. You will meet Anna, a young Sámi woman. Brought up with reindeer herding, and still living a traditional life, Anna has a vast amount of local knowledge to share with you. In the lávvu (tent house) you will sit around the fireplace and listen to stories and joik (traditional Sami singing). You will also be served a three course meal prepared over an open fire, with locally produced ingredients. The camp is situated just outside of Jokkmokk, close to the Arctic Circle and you will have the chance to get really close to the reindeers and even feed them.
Day 9: Harads to Lulea
Harads - Lulea Private Transfer
Our driver will meet you at your hotel reception and drive you to Lulea. Please discuss with us directly if you would like to sightsee along the way! Your accommodation is Brandon Lodge, where there is a wealth of activities to choose from. You will receive a warm welcome to this lovely Lapland resort.
Aurora Hideaway Dinner Experience
On your first evening, enjoy a candle light dinner, somewhere out on the frozen arctic sea. This evening experience starts with a snowmobile sled transfer from your Lodge. On arrival at the Aurora Hideaway you will be introduced and offered a drink of your choice. Wine, beer or a warm drink. Your guide will then serve a hot steamy soup as your first dish. The stove in the Aurora Hideaway has a sparkling fire roaring and the candles and tealights creates a magic atmosphere. You now have a chance to go outside to look for the Northern Lights or just enjoy the absolute silence and the stars in the sky. The guide prepares the main course over the outdoor fire. A relaxed evening is finished off with dessert and tea/coffee before returning to your Lodge. The Aurora Hideaways are small “restaurants” that we move around in the archipelago with our snow cat. We choose the best places possible depending on wind, weather and ice conditions for each evening’s event. Snowshoes are brought on the tour so that you can go for a short walk while the guide prepare your meal.
Day 11: Brandon Lodge at Lulea
Arctic Explorer Icebreaker Pitea Tour
The Arctic Explorer Icebreaker ship sets sail near the town of Piteå in Swedish Lapland. This coastal area of Northern Sweden is extremely beautiful in the winter time with crispy white snow, beautiful white pine tree forests and miles of frozen sea. The ice-breaking ship carves its way through thick ice and you’ll hear the crushing of ice against the ship’s hull. This is the Baltic sea, frozen in winter and most probably frozen from northern Sweden over to northern Finland. Along the way, the Arctic Explorer stops to allow it’s passengers the opportunity to walk in the ice or even for people to experience some ice swimming! Don’t worry, the dry suits will protect you from the immediate cold, but do jump in (with a suit on) – it's a great photographic opportunity.
You’ll also be happy to hear that there is a little coffee on board where you can buy more hot drinks, sandwiches and snacks.
Day 12: End of the tour

The dog sledding in the dark was an amazing experience and one we won't soon forget! Very cold and very dark but that did not stop us from having a fantastic time. We learned about dog sledding in general and we had just as much fun interacting with the dogs as we did chatting amiably with the members of the family in their home afterward.It felt very personal/intimate, exactly what we were looking for. The Arctic Bath is one of the most dazzling locations/accommodations that we have ever experienced. The service was assertive without being pushy, they were always there to help when we needed someone but otherwise, it was a very intimate and tranquil stay. The bath itself was amazing, and we will never forget the evening plunge into icy waters. Just amazing. The sauna was something the whole family enjoyed. The food was as dazzling as our lodgings, the Christmas dinner was the highlight with every course thoughtfully prepared and presented. ArcticBath is one of the most romantic spots we have ever been but it was still a fantastic spot for our 5 person family. Our snowshoeing experience was not just a fun trip through the breathtaking landscape but a fascinating lesson in Sweden culture, its floraand fauna, and survival skills. Our guide was very informative and tailored the trip so our kids could keep up and stay engaged. Both the hovercraft ride and the snowmobile trekking were fun and thrilling for all members of our family, racing across the frozen Baltic Sea and through the dazzling snow-covered landscape. As stunning as it was in winter, it is a place we would love to come back to during the summer. Thank you again for organizing a once-in-a-lifetime holiday for our family!
