Baltic Christmas Markets Group Tour 2024

Day 1 - Arrival in Vilnius

(Thursday 5th December 2024)

Upon arrival at Vilnius airport you will be met by a Baltic Holidays representative and driven to Vilnius old town, where you'll stay on a bed and breakfast basis at the lovely 4* Vilnia hotel for 2 nights. You will be in the heart of Vilnius Old Town in the midst of all the festivities.

Day 2 - Vilnius

Vilnius Old Town Walking Tour & Christmas Markets

After breakfast, our guide will meet you at the hotel and take you for a 3 hour walking tour of Vilnius to get you acquainted with the old town - maybe you will get to sample some Christmas treats too. The afternoon is free to explore Vilnius, wandering the cobbled streets of old town, browsing the boutiques and craft shops, enjoying hot chocolate in cosy cafes and seasonal meals in excellent restaurants, all whilst surrounded by Christmas decorations and a festive atmosphere.

Day 3 - Vilnius to Riga

Visit Trakai Castle on route from Vilnius to Riga

This morning our driver-guide will take you from Vilnius to Riga, with a stop enroute to visit the iconic Trakai Castle. In winter the surrounding lake may be frozen and dotted with ice-fishermen, or a scattering of snow makes the castle even more charming. Upon arrival to Riga you will check into the lovely 4* old town Hotel Neiburgs. The evening is free to enjoy the nearby Christmas markets where craft stalls, traditional food, hot cider or mulled wine and music await you.

Day 4 - Riga

Walking tour of Riga Old Town

This morning after breakfast our guide will meet you at the hotel and take you for a 3 hour walking tour of Riga. Learn about a traditional Latvian Christmas (and traditional local goodies) from our local guide. The afternoon is then free to explore, sightsee and discover the Christmas markets throughout the cobbled streets and old town squares.

Day 5 - Riga to Tallinn

Visit to Parnu on route from Riga to Tallinn

This morning after a hearty breakfast we leave for Tallinn, with a stop enroute to visit Parnu. Parnu is the summer capital of Estonia, a beautiful seaside resort but even in winter it will charm you with a quaint old town, cosy cafes or a brisk walk on the snowy beach. Arrival to Tallinn and check in to your 4* Palace hotel.

Day 6 - Tallinn

Tallinn Old Town Walking Tour

After breakfast, our guide will meet you at the hotel and it is time to discover Tallinn on a 3 hour walking tour of the old town, with a Christmas spirit and maybe some local treats too! The rest of the day is free to explore Tallinn old town, the Christmas markets, sightsee or shop in the magical, medieval old town of Tallinn.

Day 7 - Departure from Tallinn

(Wednesday 11th December 2024)

To suit your flight times, our driver will pick up from your hotel and drive you to Tallinn airport for your flight home - feeling well and truly in the Christmas spirit!
