One of our favourite reasons that people want to visit Lithuania - after all, Baltic Holidays all started because our founder, Phil, came to Lithuania with his father and family to visit the old family farm in the former Prussian territory of Lithuania. We love planning family research tours of Lithuania, regardless of how much information is known, or to what depth you want to explore - we will tailor a tour to visit the places of interest to you, help with some pre-travel research, and most importantly, be with you during your research time in Lithuania acting as guide, translator and advisor... these trips are always very fluid, very responsive and often very emotional.
We have some wonderful stories from genealogy tours in Lithuania - from discovering long-lost relatives, attending a new family member's wedding, to finding the grave of a loved ancestor, or meeting local villagers who knew the family and have stories to tell. These are some of the most rewarding tours we do.

I was able to find the house that my Mum lived in before escaping as a refugee in 1940
I just wanted to thank you and all at Baltic Holidays for a superb holiday. From the minute we arrived, to the minute we left everything ran like clockwork. All of the drivers and guides we had were great…really informative and excellent English speakers which meant that we learned so much more about the country than we would have done if we’d travelled independently. Especial thanks to Linas for looking after us so well and Violeta and Zigmus for a magical experience at their farmstead. I was able to find the house that my Mum lived in before escaping as a refugee in 1940 and, most surprisingly, the Spa hotel we stayed in in Anyksciai was in the clearing in the forest where my grandparents summer house had once stood! All in all, it was a very memorable trip. I’m sure we will be back in touch for another adventure soon!
