Day 3 - Palanga

Fascinating Sights of Palanga

Palanga is the summer capital of Lithuania. It is a very old resort established in the 19th century with a big English landscaped park, an impressive mansion that is home to the Amber Museum, miles of sandy beaches, a bustling centre and plenty of summer entertainment. A stroll on the promenade is a must, coupled with a walk along Basanavicius street where most of the action can be found. Although Palanga has a heady summer buzz and can be busy at weekends, it is also very easy to leave that main area and find some beautiful areas to explore. We will make sure you discover Palanga to suit you. This tour lasts 5 hours and includes guiding, transport, entrance into and visiting the Amber Museum.

Day 4 - Palanga

Cold War Museum & Zemaitija Private Tour

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you for a fascinating day out into Zemaitija national park. Zemaitija is a region of beautiful landscapes, with a very traditional and strong heritage, you will explore local life in the villages and nature. Hidden deep within the national park, the Soviets secretly built a missile base and today, this is the Cold War Museum which is a highlight of the area and a stark insight into the impact of Soviet occupation on Lithuania.

Day 5 - Nida

Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Nida. The journey involves a short ferry crossing from the mainland to the Curonian Spit. Check into your hotel and begin your exploring of this small fishing village and summer resort.

Day 6 - Nida & The Curonian Spit

Discover the Curonian Spit with a local guide, they will be driving their car so you can cover many of the sights along the Curonian Spit. Of course, there will be lots of opportunities to explore like a local, with their inside knowledge! Visiting this unique place in Lithuania is a memorable experience. It is rather like stepping into another land, one of sandy dunes, pine trees, fishing villages and folklore. In Juodkrante you will have the possibility to visit the Hill of Witches an open-air museum based on legends and Lithuanian fairy tales. The village of Nida is famous for being a former fishing village, nowadays it is a quaint resort with the highest sand dunes where you can see a panoramic view of the spit, the lagoon and the Baltic sea. Day of Leisure

Today is a day of leisure in Nida. You can choose to do as much or as little on this day - visit the beach, enjoy a leisurely lunch, hike up to the sand dunes, hire bikes and explore the cycle paths through the forest, sail on a boat on the lagoon, visit some museums and local crafts, or simply take this time to relax and read that book you've not started yet.

Day 8 - End Of The Tour
