Day 1 - Tallinn

Arrival to Tallinn

Met at Tallinn airport by our driver, you will soon be checked into your hotel in Tallinn. Choose from our selection of handpicked, characterful 4* and 5* hotels chosen for their excellent standards, a warm welcome, and perfectly placed for exploring Tallinn. Wander the cobbled streets of Old Town to get acquainted, or if your flight arrives early we can arrange your walking tour this afternoon. We will reserve a table for you in a restaurant of your choice this evening. Tallinn's Michelin restaurants range from casual dining to more formal tasting menus, each with their own style and atmosphere.

Day 2 - Tallinn

Exploring Tallinn

This morning, after your hotel buffet breakfast, our guide will meet you to take you on a 3 hour walking tour of Tallinn Old Town. Be sure to mention if you have any specific interests or places to visit, as we can incorporate this into the tour or be ready with recommendations for independent exploring afterwards. The rest of the day is yours to visit museums, galleries, shop, or simply explore the city at your own pace. Tallinn is much more than the Old Town, it is an absolute must to explore the new areas of Telliskivi, Noblessner, and Rotermanni - these are the creative, contemporary hearts of the city and you will find many excellent places to dine or enjoy a drink while watching the world go by.

Day 3 - Day trip from Tallinn

Michelin dining & Estonian nature

Today our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you out of town to an area of natural and cultural sights and also a small, local Michelin recommended restaurant. There are a couple of choices for this day trip from Tallinn, you could go to Lahemaa National Park for a leisurely hike, or visit the fishing villages or manor houses, then dine at Mere38. Or you could head west for an easy hike at Keila Joa waterfall, or visit some historic sights, before lunch at Lahepere Villa. More options are available, depending on your preferences - we can discuss this with you.

Day 4 - Out of town Michelin experience

Overnight at a Michelin recommended resort or hotel

Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the resort or hotel of your choice for a delightful Michelin experience in the Estonian countryside. We will help you choose from Rado in Haapsalu, Alexander at Padaste Manor on Muhu Island, Soo at Maidla Resort, or Fellin at Schloss Fellin in VIljandi. And of course you can extend this to a longer stay or choose several different places!

Day 5 - Depart Estonia

Departure transfer at the end of your Estonia holiday...

Today our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Tallinn airport for your flight home, or onward flight, or perhaps you will be going to the ferry terminal to travel on to Helsinki for more culinary experiences. You will be taking many delicious memories with you from Estonia.

It was a great idea that we go to St. Petersburg via Helsinki (a very cool city!)...the ferry and high-speed train were efficient and quite comfortable. The hotel in Tallinn was the most luxurious, but even at the more modest places in Vilnius and Riga, the location and the warm and helpful hotel staff made our stays delightful. Riga to Tallinn (via Saaremaa Island) Bespoke Tour

This was another excellent hotel in a delightful town (Kuressaare on Saaremaa). SAAREMAA TO TALLINN The journey from Saaremaa to Tallinn took us first to Vaiste Bay. If Ivo was initially hesitant about going to Vaiste Bay, his hesitancy was soon dispelled by the beauty of the place and his fortuitous meeting a friend when we stopped at a local house to see if anybody knew about the submarine that had been wrecked there in 1917. The house turned out to be that of the father of Ivo’s friend and he was able to give us valuable information. The subsequent visit to Rohkula was equally interesting. Throughout, Ivo again drove with care and safety.

Baltic Capitals Private Tour (via Tartu)

It’s hard to believe that we’ve been home from our trip to the Baltics for over a month now. I just want to thank you both for a fabulous introduction to all the countries that we visited. The people everywhere were incredibly friendly, and the towns and countryside were extremely interesting. The guides were the real high spot of our travels and really made the trip. Each one had a slightly different style, but each added to our understanding of the local culture and history, often with personal perspectives. The driver- guides - Linas, Normands, and Urmas - deserve special mention. They were truly outstanding and went out of their way to show us as much as possible. They really made the trip what it was. We will certainly recommend you to anyone we know who is travelling to Lithuania and the Baltic region.
