Day 1 - Vilnius

Arrival to Vilnius

Our driver will meet you in the arrivals hall and drive you to your characterful hotel in Vilnius old town to check-in. Welcome to Vilnius!

Day 2 - Vilnius

Vilnius Walking Tour With Private Guide (3 Hours)

Our English-speaking guide will meet you in your hotel reception and take you for a 3-hour privately guided walking tour of Vilnius. This is a great way to get your bearings on your first day and see all the major sights of the city, making deciding what to visit and see in more detail a lot easier. If you like to try the local food where the locals eat - we recommend you ask your guide to finish your tour at an authentic Lithuanian restaurant where the food is delicious and good value for money. If you don't fancy walking for 3 hours, you are very welcome to stop at one of the many cafes in the old town and chat with your guide about life in Lithuania, what to see, and pick up some local tips.

Day 3 - Vilnius

Trakai Castle & Rumsiskes Private Tour

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast and you will drive out to Trakai. You will visit the iconic island castle and learn about Lithuania's turbulent and triumphant past. Wander along the lakeshore past the wooden villas and souvenir stalls and enjoy a local lunch in a Trakai restaurant (payable locally). After lunch, drive to Rumsiskes - an outstanding open-air ethnographic museum. Historic buildings from all over Lithuania have been brought here to preserve the traditional culture of the regions and present the history of Lithuanian traditional life. Late afternoon, return to Vilnius.

Day 4 - Vilnius to Riga

Vilnius to Riga (via the Hill of Crosses) Private Transfer

Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Riga. On the way you will visit the iconic Hill of Crosses near Siauliai, a unique and extremely emotive monument to Lithuania's history. Arrival in Riga, check in to your hotel and free time.

* If time allows, we highly recommend an extra night stay in the countryside so you can visit the magnificent Rundale Palace the next day when travelling to Riga! Please ask us for details.

Day 5 - Riga

Riga 3 Hour Private Walking Tour

Our local guide will meet you in the hotel reception and take you for a privately guided 3-hour walking tour of Riga. Explore the Old Town, Art Nouveau area and get local insights on the best places to eat & drink in Riga! Be sure to mention any specific interests you have - we may have some valuable recommendations or contacts (we like to make things happen!)

Day 6 - Riga

Sigulda & Cesis (Gauja National Park) Private Day Trip

A charming day trip with our driver-guide exploring the Gauja National Park area of Latvia. On this day trip you will experience: Cesis: a quaint medieval town with castle and parkland Sigulda: home to more Latvian castles with stories to tell, but for those wanting to see something a little different there is also a bobsleigh, a cable car across the valley, local life and scenic hiking in the local area. As always, we will go at your pace and we can stop for a coffee break along the way if needed. On our way back to Riga we will go via Turaida and Ragane to appreciate the landscape of our 'Latvian Switzerland'. Time permitting, when we arrive back to Riga we will stop for a short walk in the Art Nouveau district before returning to your hotel.

Day 7 - Riga to Tallinn

Riga to Tallinn (via Parnu) Private Transfer

Our driver-guide will pick you up and drive you to Tallinn. On the way you have a 2-hour stop in Parnu. This is an independent stop; our driver-guide will show you where the main area is and then you are free to explore the town or enjoy lunch in one of the excellent cafes or restaurants. Arrival to Tallinn and check-in, free time this evening.

Day 8 - Tallinn

Tallinn 3 Hour Walking Tour

Our guide will meet you at your hotel reception and take you for a 3-hour walking tour of Tallinn's old town. This is a great way to get your bearings and ask any questions about your stay in Tallinn. Maybe you want to learn some basic words, get some tips on good cafes, or learn how to use public transport - our guide will be pleased to help! Our guides are flexible and during your tour, while chatting about Tallinn you may discover new or off-the-beaten-track places that you would like to visit too. There is no script - feel free to ask about life in Tallinn, how things have changed and modern life vs Soviet occupation - enjoy learning from a local.

Day 9 - Tallinn

Lahemaa National Park Private Tour

Today your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you for a privately guided day trip to Lahemaa - one of Europe's biggest national parks. You will visit a selection of the following places according to weather and time: Palmse manor house, Altja fisherman's village, Käsmu village and peninsula, Viinistu art museum and Viru bog walking trail.

* We also offer the option to have lunch at the charming 'Mer Mer' home restaurant in Lahemaa national park. Or if you like cooking, you can participate in a cookery lesson with Chef Merrit who specialises in Mediterranean cuisine, usually with an Estonian twist. If interested, please ask us for details.

Day 10 - Tallinn to Helsinki

Private transfer to Tallinn ferry port

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the ferry port. Your tickets for the ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki will have been pre-purchased and our driver will show you where to go to check-in. Enjoy the short crossing from Tallinn to Helsinki. Upon arrival in Helsinki follow the arrivals procedure, and our local guide will be there with a sign showing your name and will take you to your hotel in Helsinki. Welcome to Finland!

Day 11 - Helsinki

Helsinki City Walking Tour (2 hours)

Our local Helsinki guide will meet you at your hotel and take you for a 2 hour walking tour of Helsinki - the perfect way to get your bearings. The guide will go at your pace and if there is anything in particular you would like to see or do - please say!

Finnish Sauna Evening

Well they do say “when In Finland". This is a fun trip visiting a Finnish home where you will learn about the typical Finnish way of living from your host, and enjoy a typical Finnish sauna! A light sauna meal is served. We really do recommend this, slightly out of the ordinary trip, but it is a real enjoyabe insight into Finnish life.

Day 12 - Helsinki

Helsinki Canal Tour

This 1.5 hours organised boat tour is an excellent way to discover a different aspect of Helsinki. You will see highlights such as the beautiful Degerö Canal, the Finnish Icebreakers and harbours, Korkeasaari Zoo and Suomenlinna Sea Fortress, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. During this tour you will get a taste of authentic coastal life in Helsinki. On board are guide services and you can enjoy coffee / tea / beverages and pastries during your trip. The tour departs from the Market Square.

Day 13 - End of your tour
